Would you like to present a short course or workshop in statistics, data science, or a related field?

The Statistical Society of Australia (SSA) invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from presenters interested in delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and workshops for our members.

SSA CPD courses are delivered online, typically via Zoom or similar platforms. Courses may be presented as interactive workshops and/or short lecture series and can be delivered over multiple sessions or across one or more days.

Presenters are encouraged to propose topics aligned with their expertise and interests. Recent member feedback indicates strong demand for courses in areas such as:

• R programming
• Data visualisation and communication
• Bio- and clinical statistics
• Big data and large-scale analytics
• Data analysis using Python
• Sampling and survey methodology
• Data mining
• Applied statistics and statistical modelling

Information to include in your EOI

Please include the following details in your submission:

• Course title and topic
• Brief overview of the course/workshop, including the intended audience and expected competency level
• (beginner, intermediate, or advanced)
• Proposed format and duration
• (90 minutes to 2 hours per session is preferred for online delivery; multiple sessions are welcome)
• Preferred date(s) and time(s) for delivery
• Maximum number of attendees
• Whether you wish to present under the auspices of a particular SSA branch
• Preferred videoconferencing platform
• Brief biography of the presenter(s)
• Proposed fee structure, including any revenue-sharing arrangements
