Full membership (from $290 AUD incl GST)

For professionals who want the complete SSA experience.

Full-time student membership ($25 AUD incl GST)

For students with no income, looking to build their future.

Stay connected to industry leaders, gain access to journals, and unlock student-friendly opportunities for just $25 AUD a year.

Please email evidence of your current full-time enrolment status to the SSA Office after signing up. This can be either a copy of the student identity card issued by the educational institution or a document providing evidence signed and verified by the institution.  If proof of full-time student status has not been received within 14 days of signing up with SSA, the membership application will be rejected and a refund issued, minus a $10 AUD admin fee. 

Student membership of SSA is available to those who are engaged in full-time studies and do not have an income.  If you earn a salary you will generally not qualify for student membership.  If you are unsure of your status please contact SSA with information about your student status and employment status (full-time, part-time, casual or permanent, name of employer) and an individual assessment will be made. 

Early Career Membership ($145 AUD incl GST)

For new graduates taking their first professional steps.

If you’ve entered the workforce within the last three years, enjoy all the benefits of full membership at half the price - perfect for launching your career.

This discounted level of membership is available to members transitioning or having transitioned from full-time university studies to employment. 

Transitional membership ($145 AUD incl GST)

For members taking time out from the workforce.

On parental leave? Between jobs? Not earning an income? Stay engaged with the SSA community at a reduced rate while enjoying full member benefits.

Retired membership ($145 AUD incl GST)

For lifelong statisticians who want to stay connected.

Continue receiving publications and updates and stay involved in Australia’s statistics community without the full membership cost. This Membership is available to retired Statisticians, regardless of whether or not they were members of SSA during their careers. 

Perpetual membership

For long-term members who want simplicity and convenience.

If you’re over 50 and have 10+ years with SSA, you can make one payment and enjoy membership for life. No renewals. No reminders. Contact the SSA Office for a quote.

Group Membership 

For organisations investing in their teams.

Sign up four staff and receive a fifth membership free - a great way to support professional development across your organisation. Perfect for universities, government teams, and data-driven businesses.

The complimentary membership will be of an equal or lower membership category as the batch of four.  Please note that the membership fee for your employees will not be refunded if they leave your organisation. Current members are excluded from the offer, but they can sign up as part of a new group. Contact the SSA Office for more information.

Full membership for members of the NZSA ($235 AUD)

For members of the New Zealand Statistical Association.

Join SSA at a discounted full membership rate with proof of current NZSA membership. Members will need to provide proof of their current membership with NZSA.

Change of mind?

If you cancel within one month and haven’t used member benefits, we’ll refund your fee minus a small administration cost. A $20 AUD admin fee will apply.  Please email the SSA Office.
