On the importance to society of high quality public statistics

Public statistics have never been so important to everyone.

IAOS and IASS, together with the ISI, are pleased to host a joint webinar on Thursday 5 November at 12 pm CET.  This is part of the continuing celebrations of World Statistics Day, held on 20 October this year.

The webinar features

• Dr. Walter J. Radermacher (formerly of Eurostat) - who will discuss the importance of official/public statistics for society;
• Eric Rancourt (Statistics Canada) will talk about how such statistics are supported by innovations in survey methods.

There will be plenty of opportunities for audience participation.

Denise Britz do Nascimento Silva (IASS President) and John Pullinger (IAOS President) will moderate the webinar.
