Thanks for your reply Ken but what you suggest has been my life for the last 4 years. Numerous Neurologists connected to the Aviation Industry who can't find anything wrong, and in any case mostly hypothesize when it comes to the brain. As for an Aviation GP - I have had to see one for work annual certification for the last 20 years - as all pilots do. David.

For a statistician to answer a question like this we need access to data, and then it should be published in a peer reviewed publication.  What I think you need is a neurologist who specialises in aviation. You could start with a GP who specialises in aviation medicine, as they should be able to refer you to someone. The author of this https://jmvh.org/article/neurology-in-aviation/ is at UNSW.

Hello all. Rather than expanding on details straight off, i have been an Airline Pilot in Australia for 15 years. Was a hard road to get there, and loved my job with a passion. Out of the blue - 2 neurological events have met with CASA taking my Medical License away.  I am now on low level medication with no side effects and no symptoms for 3 years now. I feel normal and completely safe to fly.  CASA (our Regulator) use a measure of if you are less than a 2% risk of a repeat event (apparently the risk level of the general population) then you can argue to get your Medical back. How they apply this 2% to any case i have no idea and bet they don't know either. I bet a Statistician out there would. Can anyone help me whether in kind or under a paid arrangement? I can be contacted directly on 0418348957. Thank you in anticipation.
