CPD102 - SSA Canberra/YSC Event: Pre-Conference Trivia Night!

Did you know:

• In his first year at Harrow, Winston Churchill was bottom of the whole school?
• Finland has the highest density of metal bands in the world?
• A number of Bradley Efron's friends and colleagues originally floated other names for the bootstrap, including the Swiss Army Knife, Meat Axe, Swan-Dive, Jack-Rabbit, and the Shotgun?

More importantly, in celebration of YSC2019 being in Canberra, did you know that SSA Canberra and YSC are holding a special joint pre-conference trivia night on the evening of 30 September i.e., after the workshops? 

Test your knowledge in a couple of hours (+/- some unknown standard deviation) of trivia spanning all walks of general knowledge, including some mathematics and statistics puzzles of course! The trivia night will be held at Manuka Oval i.e., the venue of the workshops and conference.  

The cost for the trivia night is

• free for delegates of YSC2019;
• $10 for all SSA members;
• $30 for all non-members.

This above includes dinner (TBC as to what this will be). Please note this is an alcohol-free event; in accordance with the venue policy, food and beverage cannot be brought in from the outside.

Please note registration is essential (for catering purposes), and closes Wednesday 25 September.

There will also be prizes! Time to get your game on! (well done if you know the reference)
