Post-Belz lecture social night: virtual escape room

Do you want to have some fun after the Belz lecture? 
Missing the social interactions or meeting new people in this new era of "social" distancing?  Well here is a great opportunity for you to have some fun and get to meet people! Come join us in a game of virtual escape room. Whether you are totally new to escape room or experienced guru, we have a variety of experiences to accommodate you.

We can only accommodate a maximum of 60 people so please register early if you would like to join!

Do you prefer to just have a chat or cannot commit for 60 minutes for the escape room? We'll have a zoom breakout room for you to have a causal socialisation so come join the event even if you don't want to participate in the escape room.

Instructions for the virtual escape room

Getting Started

• You and your team, up to maximum 6 people in total per team, will need to work closely together to succeed.
• You have 60 minutes, so get creative and resourceful, you can use Google or any other website to find answers!
• All team members go to https://www.virtualescape.fun on their computer using Google Chrome
• All team members enter the Game Code as distributed by the SSA Vic organisers during the event, note that this is case sensitive
• All team members press Get Started and go through the instructions
• Come up with a catchy team name
• Once everyone is ready, let one person enter the team name and start the game for everyone.

Important Notes

• Up to 6 team members can log in using the same Game Code
• Use a pen and paper and, if playing Ben's Big Heist, have a QR code scanner ready
• Once one team member starts the game, the time starts counting down for everyone and there is no pause option
• The game is real-time, so when one team member performs an action such as submitting an answer, everyone gets to see the result
• Mobile devices are not supported
• For each challenge there are 3 hints available, the 4th hint is the answer
