Dr Charles Lindsey, Senior Statistician and Software Developer at StataCorp will present
"Extended Regression Models"
|
Abstract
|
Extended regression models (ERMs) are regression models with continuous, interval-censored, binary, and ordered outcomes that account for endogenous covariates, sample selection, nonrandom treatment assignment, and within-panel correlation.
These models can be used when you are worried about bias due to unmeasured confounding, trials with informative dropout, outcomes that are missing not at random, selection on unobservables, longitudinal or multilevel (two-level) data, and more. ERMs provide a unifying framework for handling these
complications individually or in combination. In my talk, I will briefly review the types of complications that ERMs can address and show how to make inferences despite those complications.
