    Event support available from AMSI and AustMS! Applications close Tuesday 10 November.

    Are you interested in organising a mathematical sciences event between 1 December 2020 – 30 June 2021? We invite you to apply for funding, promotional support and more. Proposals for both face-to-face and online events are welcomed. Early-career researchers and first-time organisers are strongly encouraged to apply. Don't need financial support? See below for other benefits or contact AMSI directly.

    How Can We Support Your Event?

    - Formal endorsement from AMSI–AustMS
    - Promotion of your event to mailing lists, in campaigns on AMSI social media channels and on the AMSI website
    - $1K organiser payment for online events with <50 registrants**
    - $1.5K organiser payment for online events with >50 registrants**
    - Support of recording and post-production costs for local and international keynote talks; option to publish recorded keynotes on the AMSI YouTube channel and possibility of inclusion in future endorsed online lecture series
    - Support of local keynote speaker travel and accommodation costs
    - Support of software, licensing and technical support costs
    - Access to AMSI's ACE Network as a presentation platform if required
    **One payment per event; may be split between multiple organisers**

    Eligibility

    Events must be hosted by AMSI Member Institutions and be open-invitation. Recurrent events are generally ineligible — contact AMSI to confirm.

    Diversity

    If your event has three or more organisers, they must come from several AMSI Member Institutions and include at least one woman, AustMS member and ECR.

    The event must be open to AMSI Member Institutions outside the host.

    Female keynote speakers must be featured and the application must present a clear strategy to encourage women's participation. Contact WIMSIG for advice.

    Pre-Submission Checklist

    - Nominate a lead applicant to represent the organising committee
    - Identify the national benefit brought by the event
    - If requesting speaker funding, make sure it's for keynotes only
    - Make a clear case for speaker funding based on field impact
