    About the Role

    The Methods and Implementation Support for Clinical and Health (MISCH) research Hub based at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health is seeking a biostatistician to contribute to the design, analysis and reporting of observational studies and clinical trials. The role will be advising on the statistical aspects of clinical research such as study design and sample size determination, perform statistical analyses of data, prepare reports and contribute to publications presenting research findings. At MISCH, you will be part of a group of researchers in biostatistics and clinical epidemiology who provide collaborative research support. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and career as a biostatistician in observational studies and clinical trials while working in a collaborative academic research environment. 

    Who We Are Looking For

    We are seeking someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively conveying statistical concepts to individuals with limited statistical knowledge. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines. Proficiency in applying research methodologies and quantitative data analysis is essential. Experience with statistical software such as Stata or R for data handling and analysis is required. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to maintain high work standards under guidance and manage multiple projects concurrently.
