Join a world-leading team shaping the future of clinical trials.
The Biostatistics Unit within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University is seeking an exceptional Research Fellow (Level B) or Senior Research Fellow (Level C) to join our internationally recognised biostatistics research team in Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge methodological research that has the potential to transform how clinical trials are designed and conducted, ultimately improving patient outcomes worldwide. Working at the forefront of innovation, you will play a leading role in developing novel statistical methods for Bayesian adaptive cluster randomised trials (CRTs), including next-generation Bayesian cluster-randomised adaptive platform trials (APTs).
A key focus of the role will be leading the development of flexible, modular simulation software in R to evaluate and implement these innovative trial designs. Your work will directly support advances in trial methodology and help bring more efficient and effective treatments to patients sooner.
This fully funded three-year position offers the opportunity to collaborate with leading researchers in adaptive platform trials and cluster randomised trials, including Dr Liz Ryan, Professor Andrew Forbes and Professor Steve Webb, alongside Monash’s renowned Cluster Cluster—a globally recognised team of more than 10 biostatisticians at the forefront of cluster randomised trial methodology.
You will also have the chance to build an international research profile through collaborations with world-leading statisticians, clinical trialists and clinicians across the UK, USA, Canada and Europe.
If you are passionate about statistical innovation, software development, and making a real-world impact on healthcare, we would love to hear from you.
