The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is currently seeking a statistical consultant to join the Research Computing Facility.

This position will play a key role in providing statistical support for Peter Mac researchers through the provision of statistical consulting and training.

The successful applicant will be required to embed themselves within various different research groups in order to understand, consult and help direct any statistical analyses. Additionally, the role will require the formulation and delivery of training seminars and workshops designed to up-skill and empower our researchers in statistics.

This role will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Peter Mac researchers on publications and grant applications to help ensure the quality of their statistical analysis is of a high standard. It is also envisioned that the successful applicant will participate in and contribute to Peter Mac’s grant mentorship program.

As this role is centred around the analysis of biological data it is anticipated the successful applicant will have the ability to communicate effectively with biological researchers on complex problems.
