For a bit of amusement recently I tested the ChatGPT Data Analysis plugin with some old Uni assignments

I was fairly impressed, especially at its maths and basic stats ability :)

I feel it was even more elegant than some of my own work but I did need to check it thoroughly

Personally I feel somewhat aggrieved at being from the generation that used to have to work it out themselves. For some of us there was a big gap. Even doing maths these days as a mature age student a few years back, by far most of the time was spent grappling with the maths formatting in Word

I find it brutally sad but have not yet tested it on an unproven theorem

I feel for the markers of the past who used to wade through hand written proofs with errors and crossing out and trying to make sense of it all too
