You may have received a fake email from Ian Gordon, asking you if you had any plans for today. If you look at the sender’s email address, it’s pretty clear that the email is not from our President. The potential scammer would have found the email addresses of some of our committee members on the SSA website and rightfully assumed a connection with the SSA President. No account has been hacked and there is not much we can do to stop this from happening while our email addresses are available on the SSA website.
Please always check the sender's email address. If it looks suspicious, it probably is. If you're not sure if an email is from SSA, please feel free to email me or call me to double-check (contact details below).
