SSA Canberra is inviting young statisticians registered /who register with the SSA Canberra branch, and who are planning to attend the upcoming Young Statisticians Conference on 1-2 October 2019 in Canberra (YSC2019), to apply for financial support in the form of a "registration grant" 

Support:

SSA Canberra will reimburse the registration fee [whether early bird or "late bird" SSA student member category], as per https://statsoc.org.au/event-3214332, for up to four young statisticians. 

You can apply if you:

- Are a student member of SSA Canberra Branch at the time of registering for the conference. (Membership is only $20 for students!)

- Have submitted an abstract for a poster or talk for the conference.

Application Details:

Prepare the following documents and a submit a single PDF form containing:

- Your abstract submitted for YSC2019

- A brief resume of up to 5 pages 

- A short letter describing the anticipated benefits to you that will result from your attendance at YSC2019, and declaring any other financial support offered to you for this conference.

Please send these via email to ssacanberra@gmail.com by 5pm on 31 July 2019.

Outcome and show me the money!

Successful applications (up to two) will be notified by email by 31 August 2019. SSA Canberra will seek to reimburse registration fees [whether early bird or "late bird" SSA student member category] after receiving the receipts.

Successful applications should:

- Acknowledge the financial support of SSA Canberra during their presentation

- Contribute a short piece about their experience to the SSA newsletter, to be send to ssacanberra@gmail.com.
