Research Assistant Position with flexible hours

I'm looking for a casual RA that has proficient R skills. Knowledge in experimental designs (or running comparative experiments!) is desirable. The RA will work with me to review experimental designs commonly used in practice (with initial focus in agricultural experiments) then testing and adapting the edibble and deggust R-packages to construct and visualise these experimental designs.

The hours and starting date are flexible with up to 20 hours per week for 10 weeks (or less if desired) initially (although I'd like you to start sometime in the next 3 months).

Please fill out this form if you are interested.

Please note that the google form for the RA application was restricted to Monash users. This should be fixed now. There may be another casual RA required for another project (TBD) at ANU, jointly supervised with Dr Francis Hui and myself, so please put in your application if you would be interested in that as well.

Just wondering, is R more popular than Python in Research field? I have couple of years experience in Python but not in R.
    Thanks

R is probably more popular for academic statisticians and some government/industry groups. E.g. for experimental design, there are over 100 packages in R but I don't think there are even more than 10 in Python and I find the breadth and depth of experimental designs (& statistical models) are more limited in Python compared to R. Both Python and R are popular languages and I think you can just use what suits your purpose. I used mainly Python for PhD and post-PhD I use R.
