CSIRO Health and Biosecurity is recruiting a Senior Health Statistician (ref 74221) in Parkville, Melbourne to contribute to solving real-world scientific problems in the health domain. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic about making a hands-on contribution to solving research challenges & will have established expertise in the development & application of statistical modelling for solving real-world problems.

The Senior Health Statistician will take a lead role in developing & applying statistical methodology. Working with stakeholders, they will contribute statistical expertise to multiple projects in healthcare to inform & improve health system productivity & efficiency, predictive modelling, inform operational and clinical effectiveness, risk stratification & provide explainable clinical decision support.

The role will join the Health Systems Analytics group, part of the Australian eHealth Research Centre - CSIRO’s Digital Health Research program. The group contributes towards significant research goals & delivering an impact on health policy.
