You will join a statistical team coordinated by Distinguished Professors Adrian Baddeley and Noel Cressie, which plays a pivotal role in the design and conduct of the Murujuga Rock Art Monitoring study: https://www.wa.gov.au/service/aboriginal-affairs/aboriginal-heritage-conservation/program-murujuga-rock-art
You will work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers in geological science, fossil geochemistry, geomicrobiology, atmospheric monitoring and statistical science.
You will be involved in a wide range of statistical data analysis, experimental design and sampling design, according to your abilities and training. Activities include the design and analysis of controlled laboratory experiments with rock samples; spatial analysis of geological and geochemical observations; space-time analysis of air quality measurements; and space-time analysis of observations of the condition of the rock art surfaces and their immediate environment.
