Speaker: Professor Sampsa Samila (IESE Business School)

Abstract of the talk: Adoption of a new general-purpose technology usually implies a significant transformation of a company’s operations and organization. This in turn suggests that managers who understand the technology are the key people in the transformation. We discuss the diffusion of AI across the economy and present evidence consistent with the key role of managers in helping companies gain benefits from AI.
