After careful consideration and in light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone ANZSC2020/OZOCTS until next year, 5-9 July 2021. Government restrictions on meetings and travel as well as travel bans issued by universities, associations and companies would have made it impossible to hold a successful conference this July. Rescheduling the event will enable us to provide the experience that our delegates, exhibitors and sponsors expect from a statistical conference held in Australia.
Having spent the past two years preparing for the conference and working closely with speakers, exhibitors and event partners, we're genuinely disappointed not being able to host the Conference as planned. We recognise all the hard work that our delegates have put into preparing their presentations and travel for ANZSC and OZCOTS and we sincerely hope that you will still be able to join us in 2021.
Any registrations will be transferred automatically to next year along with accommodation bookings if applicable. If a delegate is no longer able to attend they are requested to kindly get in touch with the conference managers to organise your refund. Please reach out to us on anzsc2020@arinex.com.au for arrangements.
For options regarding travel arrangements, please contact your travel provider. Most airlines currently offer a credit for otherwise non-refundable flight bookings. Many hotels are issuing refunds or credits even if bookings were non-refundable.
We would like to thank all our presenters, sponsors and business partners for their ongoing support, open discussions and encouragement. We will continue to work with them to finalise the details and will share more information about our plans in the coming weeks.
