We are seeking a biostatistician (at the Research Fellow level) to join our team.
The Biostatistical Group is part of the Dean’s Department at the University of Otago, Wellington (UOW), and we collaborate with researchers across the entire Wellington campus on health research. We are highly committed to both leading and contributing to research that has a positive impact on the health of New Zealanders. As a team, we endeavour to use the best suited quantitative methods to address applied research questions, and to adapt or develop new methods to get better answers to these questions.
About the Role
Based in Wellington, this role covers a range of activities across many different aspects of health research (including clinical, public health, and biomedical research). The Biostatistical Group is part of the Dean’s Department at the University of Otago, Wellington (UOW), and we collaborate with researchers across the entire Wellington campus on health research.
The position provides the opportunity to work with our great team of researchers across the School to design, conduct, analyse and report on quantitative research projects. This includes both longer term collaborative work (including the potential to lead research projects) and providing shorter term advice to other staff and student researchers who are analysing data. Taken together, these activities provide a unique opportunity to contribute to developing the capacity and quality of quantitative research at the University of Otago, Wellington.
