About the Role
You will be part of the Biostatistics and Clinical Epidemiology node of the Methods and Implementation Support for Clinical and Health (MISCH) research Hub led by Professor Julie Simpson. MISCH provides high quality clinical and health research support across the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and affiliated hospitals and institutes. You will provide advice regarding the statistical aspects of clinical research such as study design and sample size determination, perform statistical analyses of data, prepare reports and contribute to publications presenting research findings.
In a typical week at work, you may:
- Participate in research as a member of a research team at the MISCH Hub
- Contribute to the statistical aspects and writing of research proposals (e.g. grants, trial protocols), performing sample size calculations, writing statistical analysis plans, preparing study reports
- Contribute to and participate in learning activities in the School and/or Faculty, including webinars, workshops, etc
- Contribute to statistical teaching and training within the research field where appropriate
