Applications are invited for a fixed term (9 month) part time (0.5FTE) appointment as Lecturer of Type A (teaching track) in Statistical Science at the University of Galway, Ireland.

Academics in the Discipline have a strong track record of teaching and research in topics including statistical modelling, biostatistics, sports analytics and data science. The School includes the members of the Data Science Institute (DSI) and the associated Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics, which has a strong international reputation in data science.

We are seeking to recruit a talented Lecturer in Statistical Science for teaching and supervision. The successful candidate will primarily contribute to curriculum and course design, preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, project supervision and general examination and other assessment responsibilities in the area of statistics/data science.

Salary: €58,917 to €93,991 p.a pro rata (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011) (This appointment will be made on the Lecturer scale in line with current Government pay policy)
