The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is advertising for an Experimentation Analyst within our Experimentation team in the Retail Bank Data Science and Modelling unit. This role would be ideal for a statistician with a background in experimental design or causal inference, looking to apply this knowledge to improving the financial wellbeing of our customers and communities. We work closely with both the Customer Engagement Engine (https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-commbank-is-training-its-machine-learning-customer-engagement-engine/) and Behavioural Economics (https://www.afr.com/chanticleer/how-commbank-nudges-customers-to-do-better-20190621-p51zvw) teams to achieve this.
The position is based in our Sydney offices.
The role will:
- Contribute to the framework within the Customer Engagement Engine that will enable experimentation at scale.
- Work closely with business partners to design and enable experiments for multiple business units across the bank
- Translate actionable insights from experiments into tangible recommendations to solve specific business problems
- Stay ahead of our competitors by taking part in the research and development activities in experimentation and bringing these into CBA
- Engage with other analytical functions across the Group to collaborate and share best practice, and actively promote the analytical and data led culture of the CBA Group, via being a key advocate behaviourally and technically
- Further the enjoyable, rewarding and market-leading ethos of the Data Science & Modelling team, and excel in customer service
