The University of Canterbury School of Mathematics and Statistics is looking for a continuing (i.e., permanent) Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Statistics and/ or in Data Science.

The closing date for this position is Sunday, 2nd June 2019 (Midnight NZ time} 

The School of Mathematics and Statistics is looking for people to contribute to the development of our teaching and research programmes in Statistics and in Data Science.

You will contribute to the vibrancy of the School’s research culture and teach into the Statistics and, or, Data Science programme. You will be expected to undertake a range of teaching responsibilities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and to supervise research (postgraduate) students. Collaborative research, both within the university and externally, is encouraged. 

We invite applications from enthusiastic and capable people. You should have a Ph.D. (or be near completion) in Statistics or in Data Science, or have an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject. You should have expert knowledge in Statistics or in Data Science and have experience in teaching Statistics or Data Science to a wide range of learners from a variety of backgrounds.
